The Merry Month of May

Elder Ross and Sister Nancy Kendell arrived May 1st to join us in Victoria 2nd Branch.
We are thrilled to have them and the sisters already love them!

The Hong Kong District held an activity on Labour Day.....
A 5K run and Aerobic Dance Competition.
Here's our girls ready to start the run!

Handing out bracelets for every participant at the end.
Our branch held an Aerobic battle last month which gave the idea to the District.
As always, our girls loved performing!
 Everyone enjoyed the day!

We had lots of celebrations for Mother's Day!

Friday Family gave everyone flowers.
The young missionaries cooked Mother's Day dinner as a service to our branch.

We made Mother's Day Cards.  I changed mine into a Get Well card for Sister Sallee who was starting Chemo for breast cancer the next day.

Our teachers are pretty creative with their lessons!

Sister Grace (in the green) made these awesome bookmarks for everyone when we had our lesson about Scriptures.  They have a different scripture, written by hand, on each one.  She made about 25.  As a domestic helper she works 18 hours a day, so she did them during the night!!!

Two of our beautiful girls with President Towers and Elder Kendell.

Sister Myrna went to the temple for the first time.  Here is her Facebook page.

Myrna Gordora Aguilar added 11 new photos  celebrating this special day at Hong Kong China LDS Temple.
I'm very grateful to our Almighty Heavenly Father for this very remarkable moment in my life. His guidance and plans are leading me in that my faith remain strong and a better individual. And He showed me the ways how could I return back to His presence after this life and I did it..!! As what my heart desired ! May thy spirit be with me always to strengthen my faith and leads my path on the right way..!!
Thank you dearest Tuesday Family and the church leaders for the assistance, love and wishes...love you all.
Time for pictures afterward.

Sister Myrna with all of Tuesday Family the afternoon of her special day.

Saturday Family Choir performed beautifully at te Saturday Night Session of District conference.

Any time is picture time with this group!!!
 Selfies after Relief Society.

May Ann has saved enough money and learned enough skill to go back to the Philippines and hopefully start her own bakery!

It will be called the Sweet Tooth Fairy Bakery.  Here is her outfit for opening day!
She modeled it for us at her going-away party.

This man is Brother Lam.
He was Gary Towers' mission companion when they served here in Hong Kong about 1960.
David was called to be Branch President by President Benjamin Tai.
He was just called to be an Area Seventy in Asia.

I am so proud of my Thursday piano students Cathy, Jenn and Amihan!
They performed in their very first piano recital!
Grace is another student in our class, but she couldn't get the day off.
They amazed me with their poise.

We spent a fun day on an outing with the other senior couples.

Believe it or not, this is a female lion because she has her paw on her cub.
The male lions have their paw on the world.
Otherwise, they look pretty much alike.
Interesting how they carve a ball in their mouths.
The BYU Women's Volleyball Team came to play here.
The sisters thought it was great to have their picture with these tall women!

We have  had four convert baptisms in the last 4 weeks.  Pretty awesome!!

We had the most amazing "Beauty Pageant" in Saturday family.
It was about being beautiful on the inside.
The dresses for the formal gown competition were made from recycled materials like  garbage bags, magazines, foil, left over ticket stubs and lots of duck tape and staples.
Here's a sample of the dresses.

(This one even had a zipper hand sewn into the back.)

The one on the right is made of leftover tickets.  I love it!

We spent an afternoon at Monkey Mountain.
This mommy didn't want us anywhere near her baby!

If I had a enough money I might consider buying this HUGE, 6 inch wide,  gold necklace....
Also, I would have to decide if I REALLY wanted to wear a nursing pig!
